“SAC”

The polythene bags which we still use and especially in the mass-market retailing are used as a symbol of the decline as well as man’s estrangement to nature. In developed countries, we are not often directly confronted with the waste which we produce.
In Africa, a continent usually named the “Third World”, unfortunately, the waste “lives” with the persons, is in full sight and part of the environment.

When we cross the African streets we witness the dirtiness surrounding us, which takes the shape of a multicoloured mixture as an abstract composition.
It is exactly for that reason that I chose multicoloured and not very aesthetically beautiful fabrics. So, when looking at them, we have the impression that it represents this mixture of various forms and colours.

In practice, this is not a handbag (even if it can be also used as one) but an utility bag to be used every time we do our shopping. It replaces the polythene bag.

It is expected that each of us think better about the consequences of our daily acts in the improvement of this world.
